Drug Take Back Day:  Saturday, April 27th  9am-2pm

Officers will be in front of city hall from 9:00am-noon, to collect medication that is dropped off.  From noon-2:00pm, officers will be in the lobby to collect items.

The City of South Milwaukee recognizes that the abuse of pharmaceuticals is a serious health and social problem.  The City of South Milwaukee also recognizes that improper disposal of medications is a threat to our environment.  As a community, we need to keep prescription drugs out of the hands of our children and water systems of the state.

The City of South Milwaukee operates a Medicine Collection Program for South Milwaukee residents to protect our children and our environment.  You can drop off medication in the police department lobby drop box.

Prescription medication in the original container and over the counter medications, ointments,  sprays, inhalers, creams and pet medications.

Illegal drugs, needles/sharps, bio-hazardous material, personal care  products (shampoo, soaps, lotions, etc.), household hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, oil, gas).
